Legacy Senior Advocates is the registered trade name of Senior Health Concierge, LLC. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean that company. This policy explains what information we collect through legacysenioradvocates.com, why we collect it, and who we share it with.
We ask families to tell us sensitive things about the people they love. We treat that information as exactly what it is, private, and we do not sell it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us or request a consultation, we collect what you enter into our forms. Depending on the form, that can include:
- Your name, your relationship to the senior, your email address, and your phone number
- How and when you prefer to be contacted
- The senior's name, general location, age range, and living situation
- The kinds of support you are looking for, which may include health related needs such as help coordinating appointments, hospital advocacy, mobility, medication or insurance questions, and end of life planning
- Anything you choose to write in your own words about your situation
- How you heard about us
If you become a client, our onboarding forms collect further details needed to provide advocacy services, and our client agreement governs how that information is handled.
Information collected automatically
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and move through our website. It records things like the pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you use. It does not receive anything you type into our forms. Our forms submit without changing the web address, so your name, email, and phone number are never passed to Google Analytics.
You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add on.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation
- To provide advocacy services if you become a client
- To keep accurate records of the people we serve and the work we do
- To improve our website and our services
- To meet legal, insurance, and professional obligations
We do not use your information to advertise to you, and we do not sell it or rent it to anyone.
Who we share it with
We share your information only with the service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it to do their job. These currently include:
- Our database and file storage providers, which hold submissions and generated documents securely
- Google Workspace, which we use for company email and document storage
- Amazon Web Services, which stores copies of generated documents
Each of these providers is bound by contract to protect the information we place with them, and none of them may use it for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim, or where there is a genuine risk to someone's safety.
Text messages and mobile numbers
We send one time login codes by text message to our own employees and contracted advocates so they can sign in to our internal staff portal. We do not send text messages to clients or their families.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers collected for login codes are used solely to deliver those codes, and are shared only with the messaging provider that transmits them.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as we may reasonably need it to follow up, and client records for as long as required by our professional, insurance, and legal obligations. When information is no longer needed for any of those reasons, we delete it.
How we protect it
Access to submissions is limited to staff who need it, and is protected by individual accounts and passwords. Documents are stored in access controlled systems rather than in ordinary email folders. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your information.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@lsadvocates.com and we will respond. If we are required to keep certain records, we will tell you why.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on our home page.
